GWL Voices is delighted to share that Ms. Malcorra, President and Co-Founder of GWL Voices and one of the most respected voices in global governance, will represent our network at Congreso Futuro 2025 — a leading Ibero-American forum that brings together top thinkers, policymakers, and innovators to chart pathways for the future.

This year’s edition places Ibero-America at the center of urgent questions surrounding multilateralism, democracy, new technologies, and the global economy. The opening morning will set the stage for these debates — and women leaders from GWL Voices will play a defining role.

Ms. Malcorra will join the high-level conversation “Iberoamérica and the Future of the Global Order”, moderated by Javier Moreno (El País). She will speak alongside Josep Borrell, former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, reflecting on the region’s capacity to lead amidst geopolitical transformation.

This moment is made even more significant as two distinguished members of GWL Voices — Michelle Bachelet (former President of Chile) and Rebeca Grynspan (Secretary-General of UNCTAD) — will appear with video interventions during the same session. Both are prominent figures in international diplomacy, and both are also candidates to become the first woman Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Their combined presence sends a clear message: the leadership and strategic vision of Ibero-American women are essential to shaping a more just, secure, and collaborative global future.

Throughout the two-day forum, speakers will explore how societies can harness technology responsibly, defend democracy in the age of disinformation, design inclusive and intelligent cities, redefine the future of work, prepare for new pandemics, and expand access to clean energy and education. These discussions, grounded in science and public policy, aim to accelerate solutions and set a shared horizon for our region and the world.
