GWL Voices signs a MoU with the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po, to advance the Her Turn initiative

GWL Voices and the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate under the framework of Her Turn, an intergenerational initiative that fosters dialogue, education, and knowledge production on women’s leadership in the multilateral system.

The collaboration will focus on Her Turn three main pillars, Intergenerational Dialogues between students and GWL Voices members; Lectures, seminars, and special courses, including the development of a graduate-level course titled “Building a Feminist International System through Multilateralism”, which will be part of PSIA’s Master’s in International Governance and Diplomacy and a Knowledge Hub on Women and Multilateralism, offering joint research opportunities, academic mentoring, and student publications in collaboration with GWL Voices.

This partnership combines the academic prestige and excellence of Sciences Po’s PSIA with the diplomatic experience and multilateral leadership of GWL Voices members, creating a unique learning and transformative opportunity. The Memorandum will remain in effect for an initial period of three years (2025–2028), with specific actions to be developed through additional protocols.

The President of GWL Voices, Susana Malcorra, highlighted the importance of "sharing and collaborating with future leaders to work on a leadership model with a diverse and inclusive perspective."

The Dean of PSIA, Arancha González-Laya, emphasized "the importance of consolidating the collaborative relationship between PSIA and GWL Voices, an alliance from which students will directly benefit by being able to exchange views with leading figures from the multilateral system."

This Memorandum of Understanding seals a strategic collaboration between two leading institutions, Sciences Po’s PSIA and GWL Voices, to foster more diverse and inclusive international leadership. By integrating GWL Voices' Her Turn initiative into PSIA's prestigious academic environment, a unique opportunity is created for future generations of leaders to benefit from the knowledge and experience of prominent women in the multilateral sphere. This alliance will not only enrich student training through intergenerational dialogues, masterclasses, and specialized courses, but will also contribute to research and policy development with a gender perspective. Ultimately, this agreement represents a significant step towards building future leaders better equipped to address global challenges.
