GWL Voices is proud to announce that His Majesty the King of Spain will inaugurate the second GWL Voices Dialogue, to be held in Madrid on 29 and 30 January 2026.
The second Dialogue will convene nearly one hundred high-level participants — including representatives of the multilateral system, governments, and leading experts — to analyse the current geopolitical landscape and explore solutions in which women act as agents of transformation.
Building on the momentum of the first Dialogue held in January 2024, this second edition aims to generate concrete recommendations for upcoming global processes and key international summits from a women’s rights and gender equality perspective. It will also contribute to strengthening the ongoing reform of the multilateral system.
GWL Voices is a global network of nearly 80 women leaders from more than 60 countries across all regions of the world, with extensive experience in senior government positions and high-level roles within the United Nations system. Since its founding in March 2019, GWL Voices has worked to advance women’s rights and the full and equal participation of women in leadership, using the multilateral system as a powerful lever for change.
Over the years, GWL Voices has consolidated a strong and widely recognised collective voice, capable of influencing decision-making processes at the multilateral level.
Among GWL Voices’ key areas of work are:
- Contributing to United Nations reform through a gender-equal lens;
- Providing high-level advice on feminist foreign policies;
- Actively engaging in the Fourth United Nations Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville;
- Participating in Conferences of the Parties and multilateral processes on climate change;
- Mentoring and supporting emerging young women leaders throughout their academic and professional journeys.
Media coverage will be open only for the welcoming remarks, the group photograph and the interventions during the opening session (Thursday 29 January at 10:00 a.m.), as well as for the presentation of the report “Women in Multilateralism 2026” (Thursday 29 January at 3:00 p.m.).
