Her Turn Lab: Building the Decalogue for the Next Secretary-General

Share

On June 8th 2026, GWL Voices and the Geneva Graduate Institute, in collaboration with the United Nations Foundation will convene the Her Turn Lab at the Maison de la Paix in Geneva.

A two-hour participatory session dedicated to co-creating a Decalogue for the next United Nations Secretary-General. Designed within the Her Turn Harvest framework, the Lab brings together students, facilitators, and multilateral practitioners to rethink how global priorities are defined.

Moderated by Geneva Graduate Institute's Dr. Claudia Seymour, and GWL Voices' Andrea Ortega Carreño, and Paula Alvestegui, the session positions students not as observers of global governance, but as active architects of its future—working through structured dialogue, collective intelligence, and simulated negotiation.

Through an immersive methodology participants will have produced a consensual Decalogue, and key messages for wider dissemination—offering a powerful reflection on how inclusive, intergenerational, and participatory approaches can reshape the future of multilateralism and the leadership of the United Nations.

This event is only for the Her Turn Rapporteurs Cohort for the Her Turn Harvest and Candidates Debate.
