A Feminist Technology Diplomacy

Share

Artificial intelligence is reshaping global governance, yet without ethical and gender-responsive frameworks it risks reinforcing existing inequalities and power asymmetries. A Feminist Technology Diplomacy frames AI not as a neutral tool, but as a political and ethical challenge that demands accountability, inclusion, and respect for human dignity across the entire AI lifecycle.

Developed in collaboration with IE University and authored by Elise Stephenson, the brief advances feminist technology diplomacy as a pathway to regulate and govern AI in ways that align innovation with justice and equality. It contributes to the regularization of ethical AI use in global governance and reflects GWL Voices’ commitment to feminist leadership and gender-responsive multilateralism.
