Share

The 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly comes at a pivotal moment for multilateralism. As governments gathered in New York to address a rapidly changing global landscape, UNGA81 offered an important lens through which to assess not only the challenges facing the multilateral system, but also the leadership, representation and political choices that will shape its future.

For GWL Voices, UNGA81 provided an opportunity to track what governments are saying, who is being represented, and which priorities are emerging across the multilateral agenda. From peace and security to climate, global health and gender equality, the discussions at UNGA81 underscored the need for a multilateral system that is both responsive to today’s challenges and representative of the people it serves.
