As part of the Her Turn Knowledge Hub, GWL Voices is proud to announce the upcoming release of Words Matter, a research publication showcasing the work of emerging scholars and advancing evidence-based advocacy on women's leadership and multilateralism.

Developed by four graduates of The New School's Master's Program under the guidance of Professor Peter Hoffman, the publication was authored by Amanda Jorri, Giselle Morales, Ingrid Nielsen, and Niyati Pendekanti.

Grounded in the feminist principle that "what is named counts, and what is not named is politically erased," the study examines how women and girls are represented in United Nations Security Council resolutions. Through an analysis of more than 120 resolutions adopted in 2015, 2020, and 2025, the research explores whether women are recognized as political leaders or primarily portrayed as vulnerable populations, and whether commitments to gender equality translate into meaningful action or remain largely symbolic.
