Her Turn at the GWL Voices Dialogue: Open Call for Students

Share

GWL Voices invites undergraduate and graduate students to participate in Her Turn at the GWL Voices Dialogue (Jan. 29-30)— an intergenerational space where young people engage directly with women leaders in global governance, contribute to high-level discussions, and help shape the future of multilateralism.

Her Turn is the "Young Leaders Voices" initiative of GWL Voices, connecting emerging leaders with members of GWL Voices and generating meaningful reflections, stories, and research outputs.

Who Can Apply

Students must:

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Submit:
    • An academic CV
    • A short written response to: “Why are you interested in attending the GWL Voices Dialogue?”
    • Send application materials to andrea@gwlvoices.org by December 5.

Important: GWL Voices is an NGO and cannot cover travel costs nor accommodation. All selected students will receive a certificate of participation, including documented hours invested.

What Students Will Experience

Pre-Dialogue Preparation:

  1. Virtual student briefing to discover program and the Her Turn experience
  2. Her Turn Rapporteurs role and selection

During the Dialogue

  1. On-Site Coordination: HerTurn Welcome Pack, Registration and orientation, Session guidance, Networking pathways, Story, quote, and interview collection.
  2. Her Turn Coffee with Members: Exclusive sessions with GWL Voices members to engage directly on the Dialogue-related themes.
  3. Her Turn Voices, students will be prioritized by having the first question in every panel. The selected students will have to divide who will be doing the first question in each panel.

Post-Dialogue

  1. Her Turn Reflection: Rapporteurs will capture insights from all the panels at the Dialogue with their perspectives to create a report that will be published on GWL Voices Knowledge-hub and shared in all GWL Voices channels.
  2. My GWL Voices Story: Students will be able to share their experiences in first person through a short story along with video interviews and pictures from the Dialogue.

If you are ready to engage with women leaders shaping global governance, contribute your voice to high-level conversations, and become part of an intergenerational community committed to equality and multilateral transformation, we encourage you to apply. Submit your materials by December 5 and join us in Madrid for Her Turn at the GWL Voices Dialogue — where your questions, your reflections, and your story can help shape the future of leadership.
